Story of ‘The Raja Saab’
According to the story of the film, Raju aka Raja Saab (Prabhas) lives in the village with his grandmother Ganga Maa (Zarina Wahab). His grandmother often remembers his grandfather Kanakraju (Sanjay Dutt), who went missing while searching for a thief. One day suddenly Raju gets the news of his grandfather being in Hyderabad. On reaching there, he faces the horrifying and surprising reality related to his grandfather. He also learns that his grandmother is the princess of the Devnagar kingdom. To solve the puzzles related to his grandmother and grandfather, he reaches his grandfather’s haunted mansion located in the dense forest, where he encounters his grandfather who has become a ghost. Who wins this battle between grandfather and grandson? To know this you will have to go to the cinema theatre.

Review of ‘Raja Saab’
The film’s director Maruti has also written its story and screenplay himself. The film starts in a light-hearted manner, which gives you hope for a better film. But gradually the story of the film starts becoming cumbersome. After the interval, the story gets so complicated that you are not able to recover from it even till the climax. This film may have been promoted as a horror comedy, but the horror of the film hardly scares you. The comedy definitely makes you laugh in some scenes. But the director has added so many spices in the film that due to their overdose, your enjoyment gets spoiled.
Sometimes it reminds you of a Hollywood fantasy film, sometimes of a period film or a science adventure film. Many scenes seem directly inspired by Hollywood. Wanting to make full use of a big star like Prabhas, Maruti gave so much to the film, due to which the length of the film increased to three hours. If this film had been edited on the editing table in two to two and a quarter hours and released, perhaps it could have been better.
Talking about the acting of the actors, Prabhas has tried his best, but due to the weak and complicated script, he could not do anything special. After the unsuccessful performance of many films in a row, he will have to be careful while choosing his films. Whereas Sanjay Dutt did not have anything special to do due to heavy VFX scenes.
On the other hand, the three heroines of the film also do not have much work to do apart from a few scenes and songs. Zarina Wahab and Boman Irani looked good in their roles. The cinematography and VFX work of the film is good. The music of the film is nothing special and weakens the pace of the story. The director has also finally announced its sequel.
Why watch- If you are not a big fan of Prabhas, then don’t waste your money in watching this movie.
