Jatadhara Movie Review and rating in hindi Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha Deliver Mix of Faith and Fear

Jatadhara movie review

Jatadhara Movie Review: These days, there is a lot of craze for South Indian films and gradually the interest of Bollywood stars also seems to be shifting towards South cinema. Recently, Sonakshi Sinha is seen in her first Telugu film ‘Jatadhara’. Now whether you should watch this film or skip it, let us know in this review.

What is the story?

The story of the film ‘Jatadhara’ revolves around a mysterious ‘vampire bond’ – a bond that was created to protect a centuries-old treasure. When someone breaks this bond due to greed, the wealth vampire (Sonakshi Sinha) awakens, who punishes everyone who goes after the treasure.

Here enters ghost hunter Shiva (Sudheer Babu), who initially does not believe in spirits and ghosts. But as he plunges into this mysterious world, a conflict begins between his faith and logic. Later in the story, Shiva’s journey becomes an exciting experience between fear, faith and supernatural powers.

How is the movie?

‘Jatadhara’ is not just a scary film, but it is an interesting combination of science, faith and myths. The beginning of the film is a bit slow, but after the interval the story picks up pace and the mystery deepens.

Some of the sequences in the film – like the temple scenes, the rituals and the Shiva Tandav in the climax – are simply spectacular. The story makes you think, do ghosts really exist, or are they all just an imagination of our fears?

How is the acting?

Sudhir Babu has shown amazing honesty and strength in the character of Shiva. Both his action scenes and emotional sequences look amazing. Sonakshi Sinha has presented a different style as ‘Dhan Pishachini’. His dialogues are less, but his expressions are quite good. Divya Khosla brings a balance of beauty and calmness to the film, while Shilpa Shirodkar and Indira Krishna play their characters with sincerity.

How is the direction?

Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal have made the film with an attempt to strike a balance between modern thinking and ancient beliefs. The camera work and cinematography are good – especially the scenes shot with temples, Kerala scenes and rich lighting are visually stunning.

final review

‘Jatadhara’ is a film which is made not just to scare, but to force one to think. This film uses both superstition and logic together. Although the first half of the film is a bit slow and some scenes seem a bit melodramatic, the second half manages it. If you like supernatural, mythological and spiritual thrillers, then you can watch ‘Jatadhara’. This film is given three stars by Filmibeat Hindi.
