The story of Jaganuma revolves around Dev (Manoj Bajpayee), who owns his 5000-acre plantation in the mountains. He talks to his family members in English and to his servants in Hindi, which clearly reflects the social difference.
Dev has a unique habit – he flies in the sky with wings. For him it is as easy as taking a walk in the forest. However, an unspoken arrogance and class discrimination is also clearly visible in his behaviour. There are no big twists in the film, but a tension remains constant. The ending of the story is open, which every viewer can connect as per his understanding.
How is the movie?
The most beautiful aspect of the film is its locations and cinematography. The peace of the mountains, the greenery of the forest and the starry sky attracts you. The story moves slowly, which may make some viewers like the depth while others may find it dull. Without making any noise, the film gives the message that it is important to protect nature and real peace lies in living simply. You may like the first half of the film but the second half may bore you a bit.

In this film, Tilottama Shome has been forcibly kept to tell a story, even if she was not in this film, it would have been fine. Jaganuma is an artistic film, which stands on the strength of beautiful visuals and strong acting. But its slow pace and open ending are not necessary for every viewer to like it.
