Dhadak 2 Movie Review: People are very excited about Siddhant Chaturvedi and Trupti Dimri starrer film ‘Dhadak 2’. A new pair is being seen in this film and fans want to know how their onscreen chemistry will be. Let us know in this review whether you should watch or skip this film.
what is the story
Dhadak 2 is the story of a boy (Nilesh Ahirwar) who belongs to the scheduled caste and this becomes his biggest curse. He has to face the bitterness of people at every step. One hears taunts from people at every step. At every step he is trying to prove that he is skilled but the world is trying to humiliate him. Amidst so many difficulties, a girl (Vidisha Upadhyay) comes into his life, who makes him realize that he too has the right to be happy and live like a normal human being. But he is not able to realize this even if he wants to because the upper caste people around him harass him again and again.
Nilesh’s biggest enemy in this film is Vidisha’s uncle’s son (Ronnie), who is proud of being a Pandit and wants to separate Vidisha and Nilesh at any cost. Ronnie’s father also cooperates in this conspiracy and he gives contract to Nilesh. Will Nilesh become a victim of Ronnie’s conspiracy? Will Nilesh be able to live a life with his love Vidisha? You will have to watch the film to know whether he will lose or fight against the evils of the society.
how is the movie
The topic of the film is excellent and more films should be made on such issues. But the film looked very scattered. Like the first part of Dhadak, this part does not focus much on the love story, but focuses on the troubles of the boy and how his life is going from bad to worse due to casteism.
In this film, focus should have been on love story so that people could see the touch of Dhadak. The first half is very slow. The story picks up pace in the second half and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s acting gives enthusiasm to this film.
It would not be wrong to say that if the story of the film had been better, it would have done justice to the acting of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Trupti Dimri. It has competition with films like ‘Sayara’, so there was a need to work a little more on the love angle in the film.
how is the acting
Siddhant Chaturvedi is the life of the film, he has breathed life into this film with his acting. Trupti got less screen space than Siddhant but she looked quite effective. However, after watching the film, it seems that his character has not been written properly. However, there is nothing different in her expression, she has done the same acting in this film as she has been doing in other films but still she looks good on screen.
However, Saurabh Sachdeva looks like a walking Yamdoot in this film. Wherever his character goes, he brings the message of death. Vipin Sharma, who played the role of Siddhant’s father, has done a small but amazing job. Zakir Hussain plays the dean of Siddhant’s college in this film, who teaches Siddhant a lesson that gives him the courage to fight.
final review
If you have seen ‘Sayara’ recently, then you will not like the taste of this film much. Yes, this film can be watched for a social message. If you like the acting of Siddhant and Trupti then you should definitely watch this film, but if you are looking for magic in their bonding then you will be disappointed. This film gets 2 stars from Filmibeat Hindi.
