De De Pyaar De 2 Movie Review: The film ‘De De Pyaar De’, released in the year 2019, made people laugh a lot. For the first time, Ajay Devgan and Rakulpreet were seen as a romantic couple on screen and once again this pair has returned. Yes, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ has been released today, but whether you should watch this film or skip it, let us know in this review.
what is the story
In De De Pyaar De, Ashish (Ajay Devgan) has to convince his family that he and Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh) are in love. After many efforts, Manju (Tabu) agrees to their relationship and frees Ashish but now it is the turn of convincing Ayesha’s family.
Ayesha knows her family that she will convince them, but when Ayesha’s father (R Madhavan) and mother (Gautami Kapoor) come to know that Ashish is just a few years younger than them, they use many tricks to separate Ayesha and Ashish and in the midst of this trick enters Sameer (Meezaan Jaffrey) who is a good friend of Ayesha. Ayesha’s father wants Sameer and Ayesha to become a couple and she wants to separate from Ashish. Now will Ayesha and Ashish’s love stand this test? Or will Ayesha find a new love? For this you will have to watch this film in your nearest theatres.
how is the movie
If you have seen the first part of this film then it is great, but if you have not seen it then it does not matter because at the beginning of the film some glimpses of the first part of this film have been shown, which will give you an idea of what happened in the first part. Now coming to the second part of this film… R Madhavan is the best part of the film. He has tried his best to lift this film, but how much could he have lifted the story when it had no strength.
The story of the film was completely scattered, there was no situation in the film that seemed realistic. However, amidst all this, the chemistry of R Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor looked very good. The first half of the film was good but the second half was expected to be even more exciting but in the second half the story sank further. There were speculations about the entry of Meezaan Jaffrey that he would add some spice to this film but unfortunately he could not do so.
The way Meezaan’s entry was shown in the film, it seemed as if Meezaan was being re-debuted in it. There are some jokes in this film like Javed Jaffrey praising Meezaan again and again. Making jokes on the devil’s story etc. This makes the film a little connected. Apart from this, the life of this film resides only in the last 20 minutes and these 20 minutes have forced me to give half a star to this film.
how is the acting
Actually, the acting of almost all the actors in this film is good. But R Madhavan has blossomed in this film. What goes on in the mind of a father of a young daughter, he has shown on screen very well. Gautami Kapoor is also quite outstanding on screen. The amazing thing was that the features of Gautami and Rakul were quite similar, due to which it seemed that they were actually mother and daughter. Ishita Dutta also looks good in the film, her clownish style will make you laugh. Rakul Preet Singh has messed up in the emotional scene but she has done the rest of the scenes well. Ajay Devgan’s acting seemed the same as he has been doing in every film. It seemed that he did not put much effort into acting.
final review
This film is a family entertainer. But repeated attempts have been made to show Rakul as hot, which even seemed over the top in many scenes. You can go watch this movie to see Madhavan. But don’t go with too much expectations because this film is only a one time watch. This film gets 2.5 stars from Filmibeat Hindi.
