War 2 Movie Review: Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer film ‘War 2’ has been released in theaters today i.e. on 14th August. There is a great confluence of Bollywood and South cinema in this film. But should you watch or skip this film? Let us find out in this review.
what is the story
The story is of a patriot who is a traitor to the world, but can do anything to save his country. People have considered Major Kabir as a traitor and many enemies of the country also have the same misconception and due to this, a group contacts Kabir, who wants to bend India and make it dance to their tune. The name of this group is Kali. This group contacts Kali and gives him the task to first kill Colonel Luthra (Ashutosh Rana). Colonel Luthra knows that if Kali has to be destroyed then it is necessary for him to be killed. Colonel Luthra himself asks Kabir to kill him so that Kali can be eliminated as part of the mission.
Vikram enters after Luthra’s death. Who is a RAW officer, but his intentions are to hollow the system by staying inside the system. Vikram and Kabir come face to face, there is dancing and singing between them and then such a truth comes to light, knowing which Kabir is shocked. A wound from Kabir’s childhood becomes green again.
how is the movie
The first half of the film is a bit interesting, but the story is a bit clichéd. In this film, an attempt has been made to show Hrithik’s entry in the role of Kabir as impressive but that scene seems forced. However, Junior NTR’s entry looks amazing and he is amazing in his role everywhere. The second half of the film seems quite dragged out. Anything has been included in the film to add suspense. The story seems to be wandering here and there in the second half.
The good thing in this film was the bonding of Kabir and Vikram. Even Hrithik and Junior NTR made a better pair than Hrithik and Kiara. Yes, Hrithik-Kiara’s chemistry was shown to be quite sizzling in the trailer but their chemistry in the film seemed forced. Kiara has been shown as a brave officer in the film but her character is not shown doing any brave work in the film. Katrina Kaif has shown more courage than this in the Tiger series.
Hrithik is the lead hero of this film but Junior NTR is the life of this film. Whenever he has been seen on camera, he has looked amazing. He even overpowered Hrithik in many scenes. If Junior NTR enters the spy universe, then he can do amazing work in this series.
Overall, in the name of story, old vegetables have been presented with a new twist. Which we have seen in other spy films before this. If you have seen ‘Tiger’ and ‘Pathan’ of Spy Universe, then you will not see anything special in this film.
how is the acting
All the actors have done amazing work in the film, if the story had been strong then the hard work of these actors would have been successful. Junior NTR has looked amazing in this film, his looks are excellent, he really looks like a South Superstar in this film. Kiara’s work is good but she should have got more screen space. Anil Kapoor is also good, but his talent has also not been utilized properly. It seemed that he was given this role only for one scene.

‘War 2’ is the sixth film of the spy universe. ‘War’ got a tremendous response from the people and if you are going to watch ‘War 2’ with the hope that you will get to see something new and interesting, then you may be disappointed. However, you can definitely watch this film for Junior NTR, who is quite good in this film. This film gets 2.5 stars from Filmibeat Hindi.
